Pixel art style mosaic for (huge internet company that sounds like 'Avalon') offices. I was asked to create a mural design for the new (huge internet company that sounds like 'Avalon') offices here in Cape town. The final design was turned into a pixel art style mosaic. The brief was to create a scene inspired from the beautiful sea point promenade in Sea point, Cape town. The challenge was to include some humorous elements, a few interesting characters, as well as some unexpected elements like the star wars death star for eg. The mosaic was constructed out of individual glass tiles measuring 2.5cm X 2.5cm. A staggering 21736 tiles were used to create this mosaic.

The mosaic was constructed out of individual glass tiles

measuring 2.5cm X 2.5cm each.
