The Concours d’Élégance, which translates from French to mean "a competition of elegance," is a car show that has its origins in the 17th century in France. At that time, French aristocracy showcased horse-drawn carriages, and the event has since evolved into a competition featuring cars and motorcycles. The Kenyan Concours d’Élégance was established in 1971 and has been held annually ever since. It is organized by the Alfa Romeo Owners' Club Kenya and is sanctioned by the Kenya Motorsports Federation and the FIM Africa. Over the years, this event has grown to become the largest motoring event in Kenya, attracting an average of 10,000 visitors each year.
