The challenge:
I was commissioned to design the lettering for the November 2016 cover of Entertainment Weekly magazine, which featured the new Beauty and the Beast movie.
The challenge was to capture the essence of The Beauty And The Beast without copying the design of the movie title itself, it needed to be a unique original typographic design.
The solution:
In designing the lettering, my goal was to embody the spirit of the film. I aimed for the "Beauty" section to have a more decorative and feminine touch, while the "Beast" section needed to convey a stronger, masculine feel, reminiscent of the beast's horns.
