The challenge:
Working with Bittersuite Agency in Cape Town, I was commissioned to create two limited edition packs for Jack Daniel's.
The first challenge was to tell the Jack Daniel's story through distinctive Americana-inspired typography and arrange it into a cohesive design on the packaging.
The second task was to design some icons that mimicked the Jack Daniel's style of illustration.
The solution:
For the typographic challenge, I spent a lot of time researching Americana style typography and developing various styles. The composition eventually came together nicely.
I designed four main icons representing prizes that could be won, all while staying true to Jack Daniel's illustration style.
The limited edition packs were sold throughout South Africa.
