The challenge:
Two Brothers Games approached me to bring a fresh perspective to the packaging, branding, and design aesthetic of a brilliant word game called League Of The Lexicon - a project that has enjoyed great success since its unveiling on Kickstarter.
The challenge was to take the original design intention and breathe new life into it by creating a high-quality, "storefront-ready" piece of packaging, creating additional assets, and making adjustments/improvements to typography, iconography, and other assets. Every last detail was carefully and thoughtfully crafted.
The solution:
I solved the design problem by creating a packaging identity with great stand out, something that is consistent across the various editions of the game, unique and alluring in aesthetic, and instantly recognisable on the shelf next to the word games.
The result is an honest reflection of the well-made game itself, which is one of the best word games on the market and has been called a "triumph" by Stephen Fry himself.
A few small details help set apart the various editions of the game.
I created all the assets needed, the main box design, the slang, global, and junior editions, a rules book, card designs, and the boxes for the cards and many more.
